Meredith’s immigration practice focuses on employment-based immigration (such as EB-1, National Interest Waivers, H-1B, O-1, and L-1 visas); family-based immigration; helping individuals create a pathway to U.S. citizenship; and various forms of humanitarian relief (such as filing asylum petitions, VAWA petitions, U visas and helping victims of human trafficking). Meredith brings a unique skillset to her immigration practice after spending a decade handling complex transactional matters for several nationally recognized law firms, including the #1 ranked law firm in all of Western New York, according to the 2013-2014 U.S.News and Best Lawyers® national ranking. Her clients have included Fortune 500 companies, international institutions, small businesses, individuals, and non-profits, in a variety of industries.
Meredith has established herself as a hard-working and thorough attorney that clients can depend on to navigate them through the complex immigration system. Meredith’s passion for immigration law arose out of her volunteer experiences working with children survivors of human trafficking and a genuine desire to help others. She provides pro bono legal services for clients of Whitman-Walker Health, Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition (TASSC) and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington. Meredith has volunteered as a tutor for Citizenship Classes at Hogar Immigration Services and regularly volunteers at Naturalization Workshops for local non-profits. Meredith also volunteers extensively for the Washington D.C. Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Meredith is a member of the State Bars of New York, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester, wherein she was awarded the Irene Grace Bunde Speech Award.
